Introduction

This picture shows a scene of a flight of staircase. There are 2 adults and 3 students on the staircase.

Situation 1--Wrong and Consequence
There is a boy dashing down the stairs. He has accidently knock into a female teacher, who is carrying a pile of book in her hand, which cause her to drop the pile of book down the stair. Two students, a boy and a girl are helping the teacher by picking up the book for her. I can tell that it is hard work as they started to sweat. However it is the right thing to do, as pick up the falling books for the teacher is consider helpful. If I were there, I will praise them saying that what they have done is correct as they will not trouble the teacher to pick up herself personally as she may be going to conduct a lesson soon and she need to rush to the classroom. The teacher may also fall and injure herself. The boy is causing a lot of inconvenience to those who are using the staircase. I think that the boy is at fault as he cannot not rush down the staircase. If he does, he may bump in other, or worse, trip and fall. Therefore, I think he should stop, pick up the book for the picture and apologize.

There is another man, who may be a teacher, who is holding on a cup of hot drink is signaling the running boy to stop. If he does not stop, he may bump into the teacher, causing his hot drink to spill out, and may scalding not only him but also others like the female teacher and the student. He may also fall and injure himself. This can cause a lot of injuries.

What the boy is doing is indeed no acceptable. Even if he needs to attend to something urgently, he should also not have done this and spare a thought for others and be more careful. If he trips and falls, he may injure himself and be hospitalize. Furthermore, he may also knock down others, injuring them in the process. The boy should slow down immediately.

Conclusion:

We must follow safety rule and be considerate and not only think of ourselves.
Introduction

This picture shows a scene of a swimming meet. There are a lot of pupils on the grandstand supporting their team.

Situation 1--Normal Situation

The pupils on the grandstand are very enthusiastic as they are supporting and cheering for their team. I think it is the right thing to do as it is all about team spirit. They do not just play their own game among themselves but, instead, support their teammate and this is also about the values of friendship .How I wish I can be there too to participate as it is so thrilling,

Situation 2--Cause and Effect

On the announcer’s table, there are three announcers writing on some paper. Unfortunately the announcer on the centre seat cannot get her paper as the wind blew it away. In my opinion, the two other announcers are not helpful. If I were there, I will there ask them to help out as the lady in the centre sear is in trouble and need help badly as the paper might drop into the swimming pool and get wet or worse ,distract the swimmer and cause them to drown. However the lady should be careful next time as it is very careless of her to allow the paper to fly away and it is to dangerous as it may cause a accident.

Situation 3--Normal Situation

The pool has been divide into 4 lanes. In each lane, there is a representive from each group which is competing for the gold medal and has the desire to win. I think that is the real thing to do as they are all striving for excellence, which is an Olympic value. At the end of the pool, there is a row of time keeper keeping track of their time.

Situation 4--Wrong and Consquence

On the lane of the green group, the representive has a leg cramp and is struggling in the water. The lifeguard, instead of noticing it, is talking through the phone and even laughing. The timekeeper for the green group is shouting to alert the lifeguard but he is seems to be oblivious to the surrounding. I think that his action can cause a life and is not do his job well. If the boy drowns, he will have to bear the consequence. If the boss sees what have happen, he may lose his job as a life guard. If I am the time keeper, I will immediately rush up to him and tell him to save the boy and after while I will lodge a complain against him for not take his job seriously. I can empathize with the timekeeper as the lifeguard is overboard. It is normal for him to be angry as a lifeguard job is to be prepared every time and every where as long as he is having his duty.

Conclusion:

Swimming is good sports which do not has to pay much and just need to have a pool to swimming in. However, before we swim, we must do some warm-up exercise to prevent us for legs cramp. We must also follow the safety rules when we swim.

Oral practice 3 (Ward)

Introduction

This picture show a scene of a hospital ward .It is spacious, bright, and clean. I think that this is the visiting hours as there are some people visiting the patient.

Situation 1--Normal Situation

There is an elderly man on the bed. He has his right leg in a cast as he had fractured his leg. Beside him on his right was an efficient nurse showing concern to him. I think that the uncle is in pain and the nurse is comforting him. I think that the nurse is telling him that if he receives treatment, he will have a speedy recovery.

In my opinion, I think that the nurse is doing the right thing as it is her duty to do so.

If I am beside her, I will praise her in front of the elderly for being as caring nurse.

Situation 2--Cause and Effect
There are two mischievous children a boy and a girl playing tag. Look on their faces, they are having fun. However they are not allowed to do so. They, by do that may disturb the patient who might be sleeping, resting or even in pain. They might even trip and fell. If they trip, they might wail and it will too disturb, or worse, they might hit the patient or medical equipment. As playing tag is not right, I will suggest they play on the field or quadrangle.

Beside the bed on the chair is a fuming lady starting at the children. According to her expression, I can tell that she is not satisfied and think that it is affecting the patient she is visiting and personally herself.

If I am the lady, I cannot tolerate the children and i will ask them to leave and return to their parent, instead of shouting and chide them as I cannot do so. I can tell how the lady feels as I experience it before.

If I am the children's parents, I will feel ashamed of myself as I fail to teach my child to be considerate.

Conclusion:

We had confidence in our future.Singapore is a very good healthcare programme and even people from oversea come here to seek treatment. Also we must be considerate to other if we want other to be considerate.

Introduction

This picture depicts a situation of a birthday party.

This is to celebrate the birthday of the grandfather.

Scenario 1--Normal Situation

Near the plant pot, there is a old man sitting on a chair.Beside him is a old lady.I personally think that they are a old  couple. In front of them are 4 children in a line. They are queueing up to pass the present to grandfather.I think that it is correct as they do not rash to pass the present to their grandfather.

Scenario 2--Wrong and consequence

There are 2 boys at the end of the queue fighting over the present. I believe that they are trying to fight for the chance to pass the present to grandfather. Although they are being filial to their grandfather, but they do not have to snatch it.They might spoilt the present.Instead they can give the present together.I am sure that Grandfather is going to be glad when he see his grandchildren being nice to each other.

Scenario 3-- Normal Situation

Behind the boy, there is a huge, long table carrying food.On the left side of the table, there is a man squeeze tomatoes ketchup into a bowl .I think it is a right thing to do as he is kind to help on the party.

Scenario 4--Normal Situation

In front of the food ,there is a man and a lady placing food to top-up hot food. They might be husband and wife. They are helpful to top-up the food.We should learn from them to be helpful.

Scenario 5--Normal Situation

Beside the couple, there is a boy and a girl. They are likely to be sibling. They are excited about the cake as they are pointing at it.

Conclusion

We must learn from the adult to be kind and helpful and not be so selfish.

Scenario 1--Wrong and Consequence

There is a boy and a girl in the sea.The girl is on a float as they are playing catching.I believe that they are siblings  .What they have done is wrong, they should not be playing water catching as it is not safe. They might have drown or worse... Beside them to the right was 2 boys. They are playing with a ball along the coastline .If they could not catch the ball, it might drop into the sea and they will have to swim in the sea for the ball.
